inferior source
This tape should be taken down. It is seriously inferior to the GEMS composite SBD + AUD posted elsewhere. Don't waste your time, insult your ears & the Dead's music by listening to this.

Long show!
It was a hot day and the Dead played and including their break the time ran around 7 hours. As I waited to get in one gate a gut started scaling the flagstone portals. He made it to the top where hands reached to help him over but they did not connect and he fell. Landing just a few feet from me onto hot asphalt (better than concrete) it was a sickening sound. He was tossed into an ambulance and I proceeded into the stadium just as Me and My Uncle began. At songs end Bob Weir announces to those up in the high seats to be careful as someone had fallen off but Bob did not know what actually happened.
The show was great despite the heat.

Although the first set sound is real rough, this treatment is an improvement on the previous uploaded version. And the second set is just freakin crystal. Wild, exciting show, elegantly played, with 2nd set sound like a clear bronze bell.

Correct day or no...
Sick show, one of the best Casey Jones I've heard in a while...makes me want to sing "DRIVIN' THAT TRAIN, HIGH ON COCAINE!!!" At the top of my lungs, thought i'm sitting in a library right now...LOL Good sound quality for the era...5 stars cuz anything less would be misleading.

thank you
Really nice 'Chinacat Sunflower' w/ a great 'I Know You Rider! Sound switches to SBD at 'Playing in the Band' and stays decent enough through NFA. first 9 songs are terrible. Sounds like it was a great show to be at. They played Berkeley, Eugene and Boulder in a little over a weeks time.... Good Vibrations
